You will find information concerning Blackfriars on my web site under Churches/Congregations.
I’m afraid I have had some difficulty in reading the death certificates, but I note the first is registered in the District of Kelvin which is outside my area of experience, it being the west end of the city.
The marriage certificate indicates the marriage took place at Blackfriars “House” – don’t know if that refers to the church or the manse. However, I note the couple’s usual residence was at Kent Road, which is more to the west of the city at Charing Cross. I wonder why they married way over in Blackfriars – the family connection?
As to cemeteries, there are several very large cemeteries in the east end. The closest to the church is the Necropolis which is to the east of the Cathedral. Also in the east end is the Eastern Necropolis (Janefield Cemetery) off the Gallowgate at Parkhead. I would certainly ignore Catholic cemeteries like Dalbeth (St. Peter’s) since the couple married in a Church of Scotland which indicates that they were Presbyterian.
