My grandmother, Amelia Plimmer nee Robinson, was married to Charles Plimmer after WWI in Shrewsbury, Shropeshire, UK. She had five children, Margaret, Peter, Dorothy , David and Elizabeth. She was indeed a true emblem of the perserverance that carried the country through both World Wars. Her eldest child, Margaret, was mother who was only a teenager during the onslaught of the Nazis during the late 1930 and early 40s. I don't know if people like they were are even around anymore....
