death 29th October 1853 at 12 Monmouth Road, Paddington, London

He was a former choir boy at Norwich Cathedral. He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, as a Doctor of Music in 1848.

He composed an oratorio “Israel Restored” in 1851 and performed at St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich.

He died pre-maturely in 1853 aged 28 and his pregnant widow was sent 20 guineas by Her Majesty Queen Victoria, while the Queen’s private band where given permission to perform a concert “in aid of a subscription” and “commiserating the position of the afflicted widow of so eminent a man”
